Fact Sheet | Round 5 Examples

At the corner of Davie and Nicola Streets, the first poster on a transit shelter was revealed by Inspector Les Yeo.  For the next month transit shelters across Vancouver will feature a Riot Roundup poster carrying the simple message “BUSTED.”

“This is just another investigative strategy developed to encourage people to go to our website riot2011.vpd.ca,” says Team Commander, Inspector Les Yeo. “Identifiable pictures continue to sit on our website and we need the public’s help in putting names to these suspected rioters.”

GUILTY PLEA

The riot investigation has received its second guilty plea on Friday.  Emmanuel Alviar, a 19 year old Surrey resident, has plead guilty to participating in a riot. The sentencing hearing has been adjourned until May 3rd (court file #223515).
