Today marks the launch of Cops for Cancer’s 15th year in British Columbia. The campaign has been running since 1997 and has raised over $27 million for children with cancer and their families.

Cops for Cancer tours take place in four regions across BC: the North, Vancouver Island, Fraser Valley and Greater Vancouver. This fall, over 100 police officers and emergency services personnel will cycle over 900 kilometers to raise money and awareness for kids with cancer. Throughout the summer and early September, the participants and campaign supporters will be fundraising at events across the province.

This morning, over 50 Cops for Cancer riders from the Tour de Valley and Tour de Coast gathered to receive their training jerseys, presented by the Tour sponsor, Coast Capital Savings.
