Vancouver Police are investigating a daytime shooting in the West End of Vancouver that has officers looking for suspects.

Shortly before 3 p.m., police received several calls from people in the area of the 1100 Block of Jervis Street, at the south lane of Comox, who reported hearing what they believed were gunshots.

Police officers arrived and located shell casings in the alley. 

Police stopped a vehicle that had apparent bullet holes in it travelling over the Burrard Street Bridge and the bridge remains temporarily closed as police conduct their investigation. Early indications are that this was a targeted attack, no suspects have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area of the 1100 block Jervis Street just before 3 p.m. is asked to call the Vancouver Police Gang Crime Unit at (604) 717-2596 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
