On the morning of June 16th, while burned out cars were being towed and broken glass swept up, we made a decision to do all we could to pursue rioters and bring them before the courts.
It’s been over 18 months, and we haven’t forgotten our commitment we made to the victims and the residents of our community.
Today we delivered another round of charges to Crown: 168 criminal charges were recommended against 40 more rioters
In total, we have recommended 1040 charges against 315 rioters.
I hope that news of more rioters facing charges brings a small measure of comfort to victims of the riot.
