Original Release

The investigation into the death of 47 year old William David Floyd has concluded that his death was not a murder.

Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on March 1st, Floyd was involved in an altercation in the 1000 block Main Street after being ejected from the Ivanhoe Pub. Police were called and found Floyd unresponsive when they arrived. He was rushed to hospital by paramedics where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation by the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section determined there was no evidence to support that this was a murder and no criminal charges will be laid.

The investigation has been concluded.
