Police are looking into three recent pharmacy robberies that remain unsolved and are concerned with the apparent escalation of violence.

The first of the three robberies occurred in the afternoon of March 5th, 2013, at the Garlane Pharmacy located in the 3300 block Maquinna Drive.

The second, on April 23rd, occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. at the Wescana Pharmacy on Fraser Street near 50th Avenue.

The third robbery occurred at about 11:00 on the morning of May 21st at the pharmacy in the 7200 block Fraser Street.

All three robberies involved masked and armed men and a waiting stolen car. Although nothing was obtained by the suspects in yesterday’s incident, the target of these robberies is cash and prescription drugs.

While it is still early in the investigation, detectives will be trying to determine if the robbery yesterday is in any way linked to the other two unsolved cases.

Anyone with information about any of these three robberies is asked to contact the Vancouver Police General Investigation Unit at (604) 717-2812 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
