Police have made a second arrest associated to the on-going protests at Pidgin Restaurant located on Carrall near Hastings Street in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.

On the morning of June 3rd, officers arrested a protester at home without incident. Police are recommending charges of assault, theft under $5000 and mischief. 

The protestor was released on a promise to appear and cannot be named or identified until charges have been approved by Crown Counsel.

The Vancouver Police facilitate hundreds of lawful demonstrations every year ensuring the safety of both demonstrators and the general public. Police continue to remind protestors that if their actions become unlawful, officers will enforce the law.
