One man remains in custody on a variety of prostitution related offences against women and the Vancouver Police are continuing their investigation.
On July 9, 2013, a 33 year old Vancouver resident was arrested after a lengthy investigation by the Vancouver Police Counter Exploitation Unit. Marek James Anisimowicz has been charged with 19 offences, including procuring a person to become a prostitute, living on the avails of prostitution, uttering threats, assault, assault with a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.
Anisimowicz also goes by the name of “Sal.” He remains in custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for September 19th at 9:00 a.m. in Vancouver Provincial court.
