Update

Police are looking for a Good Samaritan who provided medical aid to a stabbing victim at Granville and Georgia Street on February 9th.

Shortly after 11:00 p.m., police and paramedics responded to Granville and West Georgia Street after receiving reports that a man had been stabbed.

When police arrived, they found an unconscious man on the sidewalk who had suffered a life threatening stab wound. The 28 year-old victim was rushed to hospital where he later died.

Following the incident, police arrested two men who were questioned by police and subsequently released. Charges have not yet been laid in the case.

Police are looking for a woman who is believed to have provided medical aid to the victim. The Good Samaritan was described as white, 25-30 years-old with a slim build and long black hair. She was wearing a red, three-quarter-length hooded down jacket, a white shirt, blue jeans, white runners and was carrying a backpack. Investigators believe that the woman is a nurse or has some formal medical training.
