The Vancouver Police Homicide Unit is investigating the City’s fourth murder of 2014.

Shortly before 8:00 last night, paramedics were called to the 300 block of East Cordova Street near Gore for a man who had collapsed on the street. Police were contacted as soon as it was discovered the man had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. All attempts to save the his life were unsuccessful and he was later pronounced dead at hospital.

It is still very early to confirm the motive for the stabbing. The victim remains unidentified and no arrests have been made.
