It has been three years since the June 15th, 2011, Stanley Cup Riot and the VPD continues to forward reports to Crown recommending charges. Since the last update on July 23rd, 2013, investigators have identified and requested charges against an additional 15 rioters.

Police have recommended 1,263 charges against 365 suspected rioters. To date, Crown has approved charges against 298 of them. A total of 260 of those charged with criminal offences have entered guilty pleas.

There is only one accused, identified and charged with offences related to the riot, who remains wanted by police. Thirty-three year old Michelle Scarce is wanted Canada-wide for participating in a riot and mischief.

Scarce was 30 when she allegedly took part in the riot. She had been working in Whistler, but returned home to Australia after photos appeared in social media and she was terminated by her employer. The investigations into her actions lead to the Canada-wide warrant being issued for her arrest in September 2013.

The Vancouver Police, with the assistance of other police agencies, continue to monitor those that have been charged and those convicted of offences in the riot to ensure compliance with court ordered conditions.

Investigators would like to again encourage the public to visit the riot website and help track down remaining unidentified rioters.
