Police are investigating a daytime gold heist that has landed one crook behind bars.
Shortly after 1 p.m., a man entered the Douglas Reynolds Gallery at Granville Street and West 7th Avenue, smashed a series of display cabinets and made off with an undisclosed amount of gold. The crook was last seen fleeing from the scene in a waiting getaway car.
Moments later, police located the suspected getaway vehicle in the area of the heist and arrested a lone occupant.
Police are continuing their investigation into the robbery and are attempting to locate a second suspect who is believed to have been involved in the theft.
