An investigation into a number of alleged arsons has resulted in the arrest of a 28-year-old Vancouver man.

Between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. on July 27th, three fires were deliberately set in the washrooms of local downtown businesses. Shortly after the arsons, Vancouver Police put out a plea for information and a warning to the public.

After police released details about the July 27th fires, two other businesses reported similar incidents occurring on July 24th and July 26th.

Cameron James Fraser was arrested yesterday and has now been charged with two counts of arson. He has no criminal record and will appear in court this morning.

The investigation into this series of arsons is ongoing and detectives continue to gather evidence to support charges.
