Police are continuing their investigation into what led up to a car rolling onto its side on Granville Street near West 38th Avenue early this morning.
Shortly before 7:00 a.m., a red Oldsmobile travelling south on Granville Street struck the curb, collided with a hedge and rolled onto its side. The 72-year-old man from Vancouver behind the wheel was rushed to hospital. The victim was later pronounced dead in hospital.
The driver was the only occupant and there were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
It is still early, but investigators are looking into the possibility that the driver had gone into medical distress before losing control of his car.
