At noon today, three members of the Vancouver Police Department’s Emergency Response Team will be rappelling down the nine-storey Vancouver Police building on Graveley Street to present a $31,000 cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Three Tour de Coast Junior Team members who are courageously battling cancer will be on hand to cheer on the officers and greet them on the ground.

All of the funds being presented at today’s event have been donated by sworn and civilian members of the Vancouver Police Department. So far this year, the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast Team have raised over $154,000 to make a difference in the lives of children and families who have been affected by cancer.
