Investigators continue to search for evidence and canvass for witnesses in a collision that claimed the life of an elderly woman.
Shortly before 8:00 p.m. last night, the driver of a car traveling north on Main Street struck an elderly woman between Cordova and Powell Street.
The driver did not remain at the scene. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious head injuries. She did not survive.
The victim has not yet been identified.
