A Christmas crime spree ended on Grandview Highway after four men were arrested in relation to a pair of violent Vancouver robberies.

The first incident happened around 7:30 p.m. Two men brandishing weapons entered the Hot Delivery Restaurant located at 3002 Cambie Street and ordered everyone to the floor. The two crooks ransacked the restaurant searching for valuables. One man was struck in the head and a woman suffered a cut to the hand.

The men left the restaurant and fled in a waiting car.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the bandits struck a second time. As customers were sitting down for Christmas dinner at the Truong Thanh Vietnamese Restaurant located at 2096 Kingsway Avenue, two men armed with weapons burst through the door demanding everyone’s valuables.

The crooks fled to a waiting getaway car parked outside.

Around 8:30 p.m., their crime spree came to an end after a Vancouver police officer spotted the getaway car in the area of East Broadway and Boundary Road.

The car was followed to Grandview Highway and Willingdon Avenue where it was blocked in by police vehicles. Four men between the ages of 17- and 34-years-old were taken into custody and will be facing various robbery and weapons related charges.
