Police are investigating a fatal collision on South East Marine Drive after a pedestrian was struck by a car.
Around 9 p.m. last night, a 51 year-old man was crossing South East Marine Drive near Main Street when he was hit by a westbound vehicle. He was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash at this time.
This is Vancouver’s 9th traffic related fatality in 2015; seven of those have been pedestrians.
