Vancouver Police have identified a person-of-interest in a suspicious death, in which a 60-year-old man died in hospital following an altercation on Robson Street.

On August 11th around 1 a.m., two men were involved in an argument outside of the Shenanigans Nightclub located on Robson Street near Bute. One of the men, a Vancouver resident, was punched and knocked to the ground where he suffered what was thought to be a minor head injury. He was taken to hospital, but he refused treatment and left.

A short time later, paramedics were called to a West End apartment building, and found him unresponsive on the floor in his suite. He was returned to hospital, where it was determined that he was suffered a serious brain bleed. He died in hospital.

Following a public appeal for witnesses to come forward, investigators have identified a 26-year-old Vancouver man who is believed to have been the other person involved in the altercation.

The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid in the case.
