Police Ask For Media’s Help To Contact Missing Girl

Vancouver Police are asking for the media’s help to contact a missing 15-year-old girl who hasn’t been heard from since early January.

Romie Chiu was last seen on January 8th in Vancouver and is believed to be with an adult friend, but police have not been able to reach either of them. The family and police have exhausted all avenues to contact Romie.

Romie is Asian, 5’5″ tall, has a slim build, long brown hair, and brown eyes.

There is no reason to believe that Romie has met with foul play or is in danger, but there is concern for her well-being due to the length of her absence.

“We just want Romie to contact us and let us know that she is okay,” says VPD spokesperson Staff Sergeant Randy Fincham.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Romie Chiu, or who has contact with her, is asked to advise her to contact the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-8277 or their local police department through 9-1-1.
