Update: Police Have Found Missing Man with Dementia 

UPDATE: February 16, 2017.

Donald Kwan has been located just north of Hope entering the Coquihalla highway. He is being reunited with his family.

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing elderly man with dementia.

Eighty-one-year-old Shal Don “Donald” Kwan was last seen Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. leaving a restaurant in Chinatown. Mr. Kwan’s family became worried for his well-being when he didn’t return to his home in the area of Nanaimo Street and East 1st Avenue. He is believed to be driving his gold-coloured Buick Rendezvous, with BC licence plate 713ERK.

Mr. Kwan is Asian, 5’1″ tall, with a slim build, and balding black hair. He was last seen wearing a beige ball-cap, a grey jacket, light grey pants, and black boots.

Donald Kwan speaks Cantonese and very little English.

Anyone who sees Donald Kwan or his vehicle, is asked to call 9-1-1.
