Vancouver Police are investigating a Downtown Eastside shooting that sent a man to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Around 2:30 a.m., police responded to a report that a man had been assaulted and had collapsed on the ground in front of the Maple Hotel at 177 East Hastings Street. When officers arrived, they determined that the man had been shot. He was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he currently remains.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
