Just before 1:30 p.m., police received a report of a woman waving what was thought to be a gun at passing cars on Oak Street near Devonshire Crescent. The VPD has several officers in the area making attempts to locate the woman.
Schools and hospitals in the area have been notified, and out of an abundance of caution, those institutions are taking their own safety precautions.
