Vancouver Police are investigating a hit-and-run after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the centre lanes of the Granville Street bridge early this morning. Officers are asking the driver to contact them to help determine what took place.

At around 2 a.m., a 22-year-old man was walking in traffic when he was hit by a vehicle driving southbound in the far left lane of the bridge. The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, which are now believed to be non-life-threatening.

The driver of the vehicle did not stay at the scene. Based on the initial investigation, it is likely the suspect vehicle will have damage to the front driver’s side headlight.

Investigators from the VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit would like to speak to the driver of this vehicle, and are asking the driver, or anyone with information about this incident, to contact them at 604-717-3012.
