Vancouver Police are asking the public for information on a double homicide after the discovery of two bodies in a Marpole home yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to a home on West 64th Avenue near Hudson Street on Wednesday, September 27, around 1:30 p.m., to check on the well-being of the residents. Officers located a man and woman in their 60s deceased inside the home.

Investigators are working with the BC Coroners Service to confirm the identity of the victims, and will then be notifying next-of-kin.

“It is still very early in the investigation and a motive isn’t clear yet,” says Constable Jason Doucette. “As our detectives collect information and put the pieces of this puzzle together, we are encouraging anyone with information about the deaths, regardless how unimportant they think it may be, to contact us immediately.”

These are Vancouver’s 14th and 15th homicides of 2017.

Anyone who may have information about these deaths is asked to call 604-717-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
