A group of protesters have disrupted a mining meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel this afternoon. Half a dozen protesters made their way up to the third floor, pulled the fire alarm and threw a bag containing an extremely smelly substance into a meeting room.

Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services were called regarding the fire alarm and are now treating the call as a hazardous materials incident until more is known about the substance. Vancouver Police are assisting with the evacuation of the affected area.

Several people reported feeling nauseous due to the smell.

The protesters left moments after disrupting the meeting and no one is in custody.

Initial tests conducted on the smelly substance that was thrown into a meeting room at the Four Seasons Hotel by protesters earlier today indicate that it is feces mixed with a liquid.
