A woman is recovering in hospital after being run over by a flat-deck trailer.
Around 10:45 last night, a truck pulling a flat-deck trailer was travelling west on Hastings near Windermere Street when a 54 year old Vancouver woman stepped off the curb and was struck by the trailer. The trailer subsequently ran over the woman who suffered significant injuries.
The woman was rushed to hospital where she is now listed in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation.
Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision at this time.
