The victim of Vancouver’s 7th homicide of 2014 has been identified as 33-year-old Thanh Tung Tran of Vancouver.
On Saturday, June 7th, around 11:30 p.m., police received several 9-1-1 calls after residents in an East Vancouver neighbourhood reported hearing shots in the area of Gladstone Street near 29th Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man at the entrance of the home suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics declared the man dead at the scene.
Information obtained by police indicates that the attack was not random.
