A collision has taken the life of a pedestrian after a man crossing Boundary Road was hit by a car early this morning.

Around 1 a.m., a 47-year-old man was walking across Boundary Road near Vanness Avenue when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the police investigation. The cause of the collision has yet to be determined.

This is Vancouver’s eighth traffic fatality, six of those being pedestrians, in 2015.
