Update: Suspect in custody

Vancouver Police are investigating a stabbing at a Vancouver art school, following a dispute between two students.

Around 5:30 p.m. last night, police responded to the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, 1399 Johnston Street, in response to a stabbing. When police arrived, they found a student inside the school who had been stabbed in the face. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The suspect, who has been identified by police, fled prior to police arrival. He remains outstanding.

The stabbing appears to be the result of an ongoing dispute between the two men.

The investigation is ongoing and further information is expected to be released later this morning.
