Vancouver Police have recommended charges in an East Vancouver shooting that sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.

On May 11th around 3 p.m., police received reports of gunfire near Nanaimo and Dundas Street. A 19-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds and was taken to hospital in serious condition. He has since been released from hospital, but has life-altering injuries.

Police believe the shooting was targeted and drug-related.

A charge of attempted murder has been recommended against a 16-year-old boy, who remains in custody. Due to his age, his name cannot be released.
