The VPD is asking for the public’s help in solving a mystery after police found a severely injured man in Stanley Park.

Just after 2 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16th, police were called by a passerby to the parking lot north of Brockton Oval. Officers located an 80-year-old Vancouver man, behind the wheel of his 2011 grey Toyota Corolla, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Investigators are continuing their investigation and are now asking for the public’s assistance.

“We need your help to solve this mystery,” says VPD spokesperson Constable Jason Doucette. “Even the smallest tip could help us find out what happened to this man.”

Anyone in Stanley Park during the early morning hours last Wednesday who saw the grey Toyota Corolla, or who has information about what may have happened, is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Major Crime Section at 604-717-2541, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
