Vancouver Police Investigate City’s Ninth Traffic Fatality

A 43-year-old Vancouver man has died following a collision involving two vehicles in downtown Vancouver in late August.

At around 5:45 a.m. on August 27, a 29-year-old Vancouver man was driving a black Infinity west on Robson Street when his vehicle collided with a red Honda Civic that was travelling north on Bidwell Street. The driver of the Civic was rushed to hospital with very serious injuries and later died.

There were no other occupants in the vehicles and no one else was injured.

This is Vancouver’s ninth traffic-related fatality in 2018.

The VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit is continuing their investigation.
