Vancouver Police are seeking help from the public to identify the vehicle involved in a hit-and-run late last month that resulted in serious injuries to a pedestrian.
Just after 7 p.m. on November 29, police believe a vehicle struck a 51-year-old man near Kaslo and Franklin streets and drove off without stopping.
Police officers found the pedestrian in the middle of the road, screaming in pain. The male was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
“Despite a lengthy and ongoing investigation, investigators have yet to identify the driver and vehicle involved,” says Constable Tania Visintin, VPD. “VPD are now appealing to the driver, and anybody with information to come forward.”
The victim is still in hospital.
Police are looking for dashcam video from anyone who may have been traveling on Kaslo or Renfrew between McGill and Hastings, or on Hastings between Kaslo or Renfrew, between 7 and 7:15 p.m. on November 29.
