High risk sex offender to reside in Vancouver

Vancouver Police are warning the public that a convicted sex offender, Howard Geddes Skelding, will be residing in Vancouver and poses a significant risk to women in the community.

Mr. Geddes Skelding has just completed a two year sentence for sexual assault and indecent acts. Vancouver Police believe that Mr. Geddes Skelding is a high risk to re-offend both violently and sexually, particularly if he is using drugs.

Mr. Geddes Skelding is a 28-year-old man. He is 5’8” tall, 160 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He has a scar above his right eye.

Mr. Geddes Skelding will be on probation for three years while living in the community and must comply with the following conditions:

  • he cannot possess weapons as defined by the Criminal Code of Canada, including all types of firearms, ammunition, explosives or knives;
  • he must attend, participate and complete all counselling, programming and treatment as directed by the probation officer; and
  • he must completely abstain from consuming alcohol and non-prescription medications.

Anyone witnessing Howard Geddes Skelding in violation of any of these conditions is asked to call 9-1-1.
