Vancouver – Criminal charges have been approved by Crown counsel after an extensive Vancouver Police investigation of a serious assault in Vancouver last year.

Dillon Gosnell, 45, has plead guilty to the robbery at a convenience store near Beach Avenue and Hornby Street last October.

Gosnell was the suspect involved in an assault at 888 Mini Market where he entered the store and immediately began stabbing the store clerk in the arm in an attempt to rob the store. The store clerk, a 61-year-old Vancouver man, was left with serious injuries.

Gosnell has been sentenced to two years in jail.
