Police are renewing their appeal to help locate a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with what is now being treated as Vancouver’s third homicide of 2015.

On March 3rd, the body of a 36 year-old woman was found in the basement suite of a home on East 22nd Avenue near Main Street.

Detectives now believe that the woman was murdered and the case is being treated as a homicide.

Police are asking for the public’s help to locate 42 year-old Daniel Alphonse Paul, a suspect in the case.
“Police believe that Daniel Paul is knowingly evading authorities,” says VPD spokesperson Sergeant Randy Fincham. “In the event that someone knows where he is, we encourage them to call police.”

Daniel Paul is Aboriginal, 5’8” tall and has a medium build. He has brown eyes and short black hair. On his left arm, he has tattoos of an eagle, a rat, a knife, a skull and a buffalo. On his right arm, he has tattoos of a skull with a rose and a heart.

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Daniel Paul is asked to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477
